Welcome to the F.I.S.H. website!
As a ministry of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, our group is a Christ -centered home school support group ministering to approximately 200 families in Brandon and the Tampa Bay area. Our mission is to offer encouragement to home schooling families.
Please feel free to click on any of the tabs above to find out more about our group or about homeschooling in general.
F.I.S.H. offers a variety of co-ops, competitive sports, recreational sports, field trips, band, choir, chess, P.E. and much more. Of course, all of this happens because of our awesome members volunteering as this is the only way we can keep all of our activities running smoothly. As a member, you will have ample opportunity to get involved in as many activities as you would like.
Our home school group is directed by a Leadership Team which consists of 7 families who volunteer to represent the members of our group. If you would like to know more about our Leadership Team, please click on the pictures at the bottom of this page.
To access the full features of this web site you must be a current member of F.I.S.H. If you did not attend the annual meeting on May 29th or did not turn in you application forms prior to the annual meeting, you are not a current member. If you are interested on joining our group, please complete the membership applications located at the top of the web page under Downloads.
You will need:
- To read and agree with our Statement of Faith (it is located at the top of our webpage under Statement of Faith
- To read and agree with our Child Training Covenant
- 1 medical release form per child
- 1 medical history form per child
- 1 application form
- 1 payment form.
The medical release form will need to be notarized. If you do not know a notary, you can have it done at the church office.
You will also need to fill out a Reducing the Risk form which you will be able to pick up at the church office. This form will have to be completed by both parents and turned in before your application can be completed.
**Please note that you need to make the check out to Bell Shoals Baptist Church or BSBC. You may also donate to the Home Education Foundation, with a check made out to HEF. To learn more about this wonderful organization, click on Home School links above.
Once you have completed and printed all the forms, please bring them to the administration office at Bell Shoals or mail them with your check to: Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Rd., Brandon, FL 33511 with attention to F.I.S.H. Home School.
**Please allow up to 2 weeks for the application process to be completed. Once your membership application has been completed then you will be able to register on the website following the instructions on the left hand side of the web page.
