WELCOME TO FISH 2026-27!

FISH is a nonprofit organization that exists to provide support, encouragement, resources, and information to Christian homeschool families. We place strong emphasis on spiritual maturity and the development of Christian character. We purpose that all that we do will bring honor to Jesus.

Registration begins 1 July 2027.

CURRENT FISH MEMBERS: If you were a FISH member last year, please do not reapply. Just do the following:

1. Login and pay the registration fee (in the top right-hand corner).

2. You will be prompted to update your profile. Please make sure you have adjusted your child’s grade for this year so that you can get the correct emails.

3. You no longer need to do Waiversign. Instead, just make sure you have read and signed the liability release form located below - this is for your entire family.

4. Also when you complete your profile you will need to read/agree with four documents (Statement of Faith, Child Training Covenant, Code of Conduct, and the Parent and Player Agreement).

5. Finally you will need to ensure that your testimony and church affiliation are complete at the bottom of this form.

6. You should already be unparked so you will be able to access the website fully after you have completed the profile update. However, you will be parked if you have not paid your annual fee within 7 days.

NEW FISH MEMBERS: If you are ready to join FISH and are not an existing member:

1. Complete this online registration & pay with Paypal link at the end of process.

2. You will need to make sure you have read and signed the liability release form located below - this is for your entire family. You will also need to attest that you have read and agree with the four documents (Statement of Faith, Child Training Covenant, Code of Conduct, and the Parent and Player Agreement).

3. Finally you will need to ensure that your testimony and church affiliation are complete at the bottom of this form.

4. Once you have completed registration you will need to wait up to 7 days for a Membership Coordinator to approve your registration before you can access the website. If anything is missing from your registration you will receive an email notifying you.

Click Find Providers
Select your student
Type "Families Instructing Students at Home" in the search bar below and click search
Click FISH in the search results
Select the location Main (Mailing Address)
Select the Annual membership registration fee 26/27 School Year option
Scroll to the bottom and click ADD TO CART
Navigate to your shopping cart and click "Reserve Funds"

Please note that the Parent and Player Agreement is required even if you do not intend to play sports this year. 2. FISH membership is solely for homeschool families, those who volunteer with FISH, and alumni. The options are as follows:

a. Most homeschoolers do so via letter of intent with the county. For more information on this, please see here: Parent Home Education Resources (fldoe.org).

b. Some homeschoolers utilize an umbrella school.

c. Florida has a program called the Florida Personalized Education Program (PEP). To learn more about PEP, please see here: Personalized Education Program (PEP) FAQs (fldoe.org)

d. You may also join FISH as a volunteer only or join via alumni membeship.

Liability Waiver, Release, and Assumption of Risk Agreement

In consideration of being permitted to participate in sports, games, field trips, and other activities (“Activities”) organized or sponsored by Familiies Instructing Students at Home, Inc (“the Organization”), a nonprofit homeschool support group, I, the undersigned participant or parent/legal guardian of the undersigned participant(s), agree to the following terms on behalf of myself and/or my minor child/children:

a. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the Activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, property damage, and, in rare cases, permanent disability or death. These risks may result from the participant’s own actions, the actions of others, equipment or facility conditions, weather, transportation, or other circumstances. I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) in the Activities with full knowledge of these risks.

b. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Organization, its board members, officers, volunteers, coaches, employees, and other participating families (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may occur as a result of participation in the Activities, whether caused by negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

c. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur arising out of or related to my (or my child’s/children's) participation in the Activities.

d. Medical Authorization

In the event of an injury or illness during Activities, I authorize the Organization’s staff or volunteers to arrange for appropriate first aid and/or emergency medical treatment, including transportation to a medical facility, for the participant(s). I understand that reasonable efforts will be made to contact me first, but that the Organization is authorized to act on my behalf if I cannot be reached. I agree that I am responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.

e. Photo/Media Release

I grant the Organization permission to photograph or video the participant during Activities and to use such images for newsletters, social media, or promotional materials.

f. Acknowledgment

By typing my name in the box below I confirm that I:

Have read this entire agreement and understand its terms;
Am signing it freely and voluntarily, with no pressure from the Organization;
Am at least 18 years of age and, if signing on behalf of a minor, am that minor’s parent or legal guardian with authority to sign;
Intend this agreement to be binding upon myself, my heirs, and my legal representatives.
